Pakistan

Pakistan is a South Asian country with significant potential for solar, wind, and hydropower, supported by its diverse geography and climate. As energy demand continues to grow, the country is working to expand renewable energy, improve energy efficiency, and strengthen energy security while reducing its reliance on conventional fuels. Pakistan is also highly vulnerable to climate-related challenges, making climate resilience an important part of its sustainability agenda. Under its NDC 3.0, the country aims to reduce projected greenhouse gas emissions by up to 50% by 2035, including a 17% unconditional reduction and an additional 33% conditional on international support. Pakistan also aims to increase renewable energy to 60% of its energy mix by 2030, alongside progress in clean transport and energy efficiency.
