Türkiye

Türkiye is a transcontinental country connecting Europe and Asia and has a diverse renewable energy base, including solar, wind, hydropower, and geothermal resources. This diversity gives the country strong opportunities to expand clean electricity generation across different regions. Türkiye has rapidly increased its renewable energy capacity and continues to invest in renewable projects, electricity infrastructure, and energy storage as part of its broader green transition. The country has set a net-zero emissions target for 2053 and is working to reduce the carbon intensity of its economy while improving energy security. By 2035, Türkiye aims to reach 120 GW of combined wind and solar capacity, alongside further improvements in energy efficiency and clean technologies.
