CECECO and RENAC Sign Memorandum of Understanding to Strengthen Cooperation in Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency

The Economic Cooperation Organization Clean Energy Center (CECECO) and Renewables Academy (RENAC) AG, Germany, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish cooperation on capacity development in renewable energy and energy efficiency technologies and support regional market development with renewable energies.

The MoU provides a framework for cooperation in capacity building, training and consultancy, including the delivery of training programmes and the development of training structures covering renewable energy and energy efficiency value chains, with the involvement of public and private sector stakeholders.

The collaboration will focus on strengthening capacities among professionals in renewable energy, energy efficiency, green energy finance and grid integration. Planned areas of cooperation include capacity needs assessment and curriculum development, online and in-person training, delegation tours and study visits, trainer assessment, Train-the-Trainer programmes, and collaboration on project proposals.

As part of this cooperation, CECECO and RENAC are also implementing the Clean Energy Academy Programme, aimed at strengthening knowledge and technical capacities in the clean energy sector.

The MoU is entered into for a period of up to three years, unless terminated earlier in accordance with its provisions.
