First Meeting of the CECECO Executive Board

The first meeting of the CECECO Executive Board was held virtually on 14 May 2026 under the Chairmanship of the Republic of Azerbaijan, bringing together representatives of CECECO signatory states, the ECO Secretariat , and the CECECO Secretariat.

The Executive Board reviewed the Center's progress since its operationalization and discussed the proposed Work Plan for May–December 2026 . Members also considered key institutional documents, including the draft Staff and Financial Regulations, and discussed the establishment of the CECECO Distinction Award to recognize achievements in renewable energy and energy efficiency.

The meeting also addressed preparations for upcoming regional initiatives and CECECO's planned engagement in COP31 in Türkiye .
