Inaugural GN-SEC Youth Webinar on Clean Energy

CECECO co-hosted and led the organization of the inaugural GN-SEC Webinar Series, “The Role of Youth as Drivers for a Just Energy Transition,” in collaboration with RCREEE, EACREEE, and ECREEE.

The webinar brought together representatives of the GN-SEC Secretariat, the UNIDO Youth Advisory Group, regional sustainable energy centers, the private sector, and young professionals to discuss the role of youth in advancing the clean energy transition. Discussions highlighted the importance of youth leadership, innovation, entrepreneurship, and capacity building.

The panel, moderated by Ms. Nigar Shukurova, Project Coordinator at CECECO, featured representatives from ECREEE, EACREEE, RCREEE, and Mr. Elgun Rzayev, Grand Prix winner of the CECECO Clean Energy Hackathon 2026 . Panelists explored opportunities and challenges for young professionals in the clean energy sector and emphasized the value of cross-regional cooperation.

Through the initiative, CECECO reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening regional dialogue, cooperation among sustainable energy centers, and meaningful youth engagement in the clean energy transition.
