CECECO Activity Report September-December

This Activity Report presents an overview of the key activities, institutional developments, and milestones of the Economic Cooperation Organization Clean Energy Centre (CECECO) during the period from September to December 2025. As CECECO’s initial reporting period, the report highlights the Centre’s efforts to establish its operational and institutional foundations, including the setup of its headquarters, recruitment and onboarding of staff, development of internal operational frameworks, and establishment of its governance structure.

The report also provides an overview of CECECO’s engagement with the ECO Secretariat, national stakeholders from signatory states, UNIDO’s Global Network of Regional Sustainable Energy Centres (GN-SEC), and other regional and international partners. It highlights the Centre’s participation in key conferences and regional engagements, as well as discussions aimed at identifying opportunities for cooperation, knowledge exchange, capacity building, and sustainable energy development.

In addition, the report presents CECECO’s early initiatives focused on youth engagement, innovation, public awareness, and energy efficiency, including the launch of the CECECO Clean Energy Hackathon 2026 and the “Clean Energy by Numbers in CECECO Countries” series. The report concludes by outlining CECECO’s outlook and next steps towards strengthening its role as a regional platform for clean energy cooperation across the ECO region.
